Jess Douglas is a UK-based illustrator who has some wonderful line-drawings and screen prints of NY. Something about her drawing of the Nathan’s in Coney Island makes we want to jump on my bike and ride to the beach. I’m thinking Hot Dog, Corn Dog, Lemonade. (via Lost at E-Minor)
Mike Birbiglia’s “Sleepwalk With Me”
Mike Birbiglia’s one-man show Sleepwalk With Me is currently running on weekends at the Bleecker Street Theater in NYC. It’s a limited engagement and might be closing next month, so get out to see it while you can. They’ve also had some special guests on the show in a feature called “An Awkward Ten Minutes With…”. Celebrity guests have included Jason Sudeikis (SNL) and Carol Kane (Taxi, The Princess Bride).

Jonathon Soma put together this map application that will give you a realistic estimate of how long it will take you to get from any point in NYC to another on the subway. A useful tool, particularly for certain friends of mine who are still working on their travel time estimates.
